See what others had to say!
The folks at Omega are top-notch. They are friendly, responsive, respectful, helpful, and they deliver quality work! Every call I placed, got a call back. They fit-in an urgent part of our project early before they were scheduled to do the rest, which is more than I can say for all the other groups in town being booked out for months! These were the ONLY folks who called us back about siding work and chimney flashing. Now the squirrels can't get in anymore, our rotten siding is gone and replaced, and they primed the new siding for free! Highly recommend Omega for your construction needs. (Also, they started off as a chimney/mortar company, so call them up for your chimney needs!!)

Al and his crew are top notch. I've had Omega out several times to do work for me, and each time they did a great job. They rebuilt my chimney and inserted two liners into it. When the collar around the chimney started cracking and was still under warranty, they immediately came out and put on a new one, no questions asked. Al is great at keeping the lines of communication open, and he is easy to work with. Their workmanship is top notch--I wouldn't hesitate to use them again. I highly recommend Omega!!

What a pleasure working with Al, Marquis and Paul. They replaced my leaking chimney chase cover. Al took the time to sketch out how the cover is supposed to work and how the existing cover failed. Took him an hour and a half to measure an exact fit. Marquis and Paul were great on the install. Cleaned up all the debris , even measured exactly the dimensions for the screw attaching points. I haven't seen pride to detail like that in a long time. Even took pictures to show me the work they did. Call Al and company for your next project.

Recent chimney repair projects

These photos feature the progression of a chimney that Omega corbeled out and repaired.
A corbel is important to creating a larger top (cantilever) on the chimney. While the cantilever is important for the life of the chimney because it doesn't allow all the water that strikes the top of the chimney to run down the body of the chimney.
Please note the difference in the cantilever before and after the chimney was repaired.
Has your chimney been swept recently?
Chimneys need periodic examination and thorough cleaning to maintain their efficiency and to reduce the chance of a chimney fire. The National Chimney Safety Institute estimates that in the U.S. there are over 22,300 U.S. residential structure fires caused by chimneys, fireplaces, or chimney connectors biennially. Most of those could have been prevented by annual maintenance and cleaning. If you want to avoid a fire and improve your chimney’s efficiency, let the chimney restoration experts at Omega Construction help. When it comes to Ann Arbor chimney repair and cleaning, there’s no one better.
A chimney fire is not only isolated to wood burning chimney places. Chimney fires can be caused by excess creosote buildup in the structure of your chimney. The heat from a chimney fire can be in excess of 2,000 degrees which can warp and damage your chimney and spread to the home. Thankfully, with the right care and repair, you can prevent this from happening.
Prevent this with a single phone call. Our trained sweeps will inspect your chimney from top to bottom before and after the cleaning. You deserve to have the peace of mind knowing that your chimney is safe for use.
We will:
-
Assess the structure
-
Check for blockages (which could cause carbon monoxide intrusion)
-
Clean the chimney
-
Bring any defects to your attention
A thorough inspection of all visual systems will be completed and you will have peace of mind knowing that your chimney is in safe operating condition.
